Job summary

Sycamore Surgery Center is seeking a part-time Certified Surgical Technician to support perioperative care. The CST will scrub, assist the RN circulator, and prepare cases, ensuring sterility and proper instrument setup.

The role requires CST certification (NBSTSA) and BLS, with ideally one year of OR experience. Work in an ASC environment under Regent Surgical Health guidance; duties include maintaining sterile technique, assisting in gowning, instrument handling, and patient safety throughout

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program; CST certification verified.
• BLS certification required per ASC policy.
• Preferred: 1 year of current OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in perioperative procedures.
• Prepare cases for the next day; ensure supplies and equipment are ready.
• Assist RN circulator and anesthesiologist in the OR.
• Maintain sterile technique and environmental cleanliness.
• Count sponges, instruments, and sharps; ensure accurate documentation.
• Transport patients and restock operating room as needed.
• Communicate needs to circulators to maintain workflow.
