Job summary

Amergis, formerly Maxim Healthcare Staffing, is seeking a School Aide in Glen Cove, NY. This contract, part-time role is 30 hours per week with a pay rate of $25.00 per hour.

You will assist students needing instructional and behavioral support under supervision of the special education team, and may help with mobility and therapeutic care as directed by health professionals. Amergis is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR certification, if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist students requiring instructional and behavioral support under supervision.
• Provide support for personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs as directed by health professionals.
• Collaborate with the school team to implement individual plans.
