Hy-Vee is seeking a part-time Certified Pharmacy Technician to join the Pharmacy Department. You will support pharmacists in processing prescriptions, insurance billing, and customer service while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality and accurate records.

The role requires practice under supervision, vaccination certification where applicable, and adherence to store policies. Prior tech or clerk experience is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified as a licensed technician through a certified national program required; must maintain continuing education.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or clerk preferred.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines, as required by law.

Responsabilités

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers and making interactions positive.
• Handle customer inquiries that do not require a pharmacist's expertise and judgment.
• Accept new prescription orders and telephoned refill requests at the discretion of the supervising pharmacist.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing prescription drug products for dispensing.
• Prepare and affix labels to prescription containers and prepare prescriptions to be mailed.
• Submit insurance claims and assist with third-party billing; maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
