Job summary

Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for a part-time role with rotating shifts and weekend coverage in Ohio.

The position supports pharmacists with sterile and non-sterile compounding, inventory management, and patient billing in a patient-centered care environment. Responsibilities include aseptic technique, use of automation for dispensing, and collaboration with the Pharmacy Team to ensure timely medication provision.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduation or equivalent.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification with OSBP registration.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and mathematical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Establish a working identity with our Pharmacy Team.
• Prepare sterile products (including chemotherapy) using aseptic technique.
• Prepare non-sterile products (including hazardous medications) in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Repackaging of bulk oral medication using Parata Systems and Medical Packaging Inc robots.
• Facilitate medication dispensing via Automated Dispensing Cabinets on patient care units.
• Assist in dispensing orders/prescriptions through our pharmacy inventory system.
• Assist in inventory control by processing daily Pharmacy Department orders and ensuring correct stock rotation.
• Assist in billing of patients and other units.
