Qualifications

• Must be a certified Geriatric Nursing Aide with CPR and First Aid certification.
• 1 year of experience in Skilled Nursing Home LTC preferred.

Job description

We are looking for a Part Time 3p-11p every other weekend Certified Medicine Aide-GNA to assist in rendering total direct resident care to meet residents’ needs for activities of daily living.

Job Position

Administer medications to facility residents and monitor resident reactions to medications, under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Required Qualifications

The Certified Medicine Aide must possess:

• Must possess a strong service orientation, including active listening, critical thinking skills and close monitoring of clients
• Basic understanding of medical terminology

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares and administers medications to residents in compliance with all related policies, procedures and regulations
• Observing and reporting changes of physical and mental conditions of residents
• Responsible for receiving and accepting assignment
• Responsible for applying procedures to promote the control of disease and infection
• Responsible for assuring a comfortable and safe environment
• Responsible for other duties as designated by charge nurse or supervisor
• Responsible for performing nursing procedures
• Other Duties as assigned

Salary/ Wage Range

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.

Education:

• CPR and First Aid Certification
• CMA certification
• MUST BE Geriatric Nursing Aide Certified

Experience:

• Skilled Nursing Home LTC: 1 year (Preferred)
