Job summary

Community Counseling Solutions in John Day, OR is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support the Grant County Health Department. This part-time (0.25 FTE, 10 hours/week), non-exempt position offers an hourly wage of $23.13–$33.56 and a $1,375 prorated hiring bonus through 10/31/26.

You will assist care providers with patient care, take vitals, administer immunizations, perform lab tests, and handle basic clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of clinic patient care and documentation.
• Ability to take vital signs and assist with basic lab tests.
• Strong communication skills in English and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist Provider/RN in patient screening and examinations.
• Administer immunizations and injections as directed.
• Provide health information and patient education on topics as needed.
• Collect clinical assessment data and assist with referrals and scheduling.
