Job Overview

Certified Medical Assistant – KSA Spanish provides clinical support to the patient care team directed towards the prevention of disease and promotion of health using professional clinical support for quality patient care. This position works as part of a care delivery team and works closely with physicians and mid-level providers and other team members to help ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Job Details

• Pay Range: $26.34 – $32.03 per hour
• Department: Health Department
• Job Type: Regular
• Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
• Uncertified Medical Assistants will start 3% below the beginning wage listed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient follow-up, including after-visit instructions, appointment scheduling, patient education, communication of normal lab results, and reminder phone calls.
• Support back-office clinic flow and time management for providers.
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures.
• Review immunizations, forecast, and administer immunizations for clients of all ages.
• Perform medical treatments such as simple wound care, ear irrigations, suture removal, and fluoride treatments.
• Ensure the exam room is stocked, cleaned, and ready for use.
• Provide back-up lab duties including phlebotomy and processing labs.
• Complete assigned Quality Control/Assurance activities.
• Provide back-up to the preventative MA.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• Certification through a nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification program (AAMA, AMT, NCCT, CCMA) or a diploma from an accredited program if not certified.
• Certification through hire is required.
• Fluency in Spanish and English (speaking, reading, and writing); language testing may be required.
• Valid CPR certification upon hire.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, may be required.
