Responsibilities

• Follow and promote proper Pharmacy safety and security procedures.
• Use scanning and counting technologies to fill prescriptions.
• Maintain medication counting devices and related pharmacy systems.
• Monitor inventory and calibrate conveyance, counting, and packaging machines; escalate issues.
• Troubleshoot routine errors to keep automated devices running.
• Create and maintain documentation as requested.
• Manually fill prescriptions as needed.
• Verify product attributes (size, strength, quantity) and record expiration date and lot numbers.
• Ensure prescription labels are correct and accurate.
• Prepare packages, sort, and manifest prescription orders as needed.
• Stock and rotate merchandise to limit shrinkage.
• Assist Inventory Technicians; participate in audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned within regulations.

Job description

• Follow and promote proper Pharmacy, general safety, and security procedures and processes of the company.
• Use scanning and counting technologies to identify and select appropriate pharmaceutical products and quantities for filling prescription orders.
• Ensuring medication counting devices are continuously replenished.
• Assist with maintaining the pharmacy system and technologies that facilitate proper counting, conveyance, packaging, and shipping of prescriptions.
• Monitoring inventory and supply levels at the responsible stations, calibrating machines, general troubleshooting (jams, blockages) within conveyance, counting, and packaging machines, escalating technical issues, and working as a team to reach team goals.
• Monitoring and maintaining uptime of automated counting, collating, packaging, and sorting devices, ensuring continuous operation through basic troubleshooting of routine errors.
• Create and maintain documentation as requested.
• Manually fill prescriptions as needed.

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience

• Required:
  • Pharmacy Technician License in Arizona
  • Ability to preserve confidentiality of patient information.

• Preferred:
  • A national Pharmacy Technician Certification.

• Technical Experience:
  • Central Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician experience.
  • Prefers to work in a closed-door environment (no adjudication, customer interaction, phone work.)
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good math skills.

• Willing and able to stand/walk at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willing and able to perform tasks which include pushing, pulling, grasping, bending, stooping, rotating, reaching, and lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Visual focus such as counting, observing, etc. is required consistently.
