Job summary

Lane Community College’s Science Department seeks to expand its pool of part-time faculty with expertise in Cell Biology and/or Anatomy & Physiology. Teaching will include BI 112 Cell Biology for Health Occupations and potentially BI 231-233.

Locations at the main campus in Eugene, Oregon, with classes assigned by the SME Division Dean based on need, enrollment, and availability. Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in biology and demonstrate commitment to student success and inclusive

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in biology or a closely related discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
• Teaching experience with community college student populations.
• Experience using inclusive classroom practices.
• Experience in online/distance learning.

Responsibilities

• Effectively teach Cell Biology and/or Anatomy & Physiology courses as assigned.
• Engage in collaborative curriculum development and revisions with colleagues.
• Deliver curriculum to students in traditional and online formats.
• Create course content, develop and revise course materials.
• Establish learning outcomes aligned with core objectives and assess outcomes.
