Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Auburn, MA is seeking a Hiker (Vehicle Transporter/Truck Driver) to move Penske box trucks up to 26’ and assist with parts delivery. CDL Class A is required for tractors and trailers; part-time, casual, on-call schedule with 0–25 hours per week.

Expect to drive safely between Penske locations and customer sites, document deliveries, and maintain vehicle readiness. This role supports the service department and adheres to DOT and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 2 years of driving experience required.
• 2 years of a clean DMV record required.
• CDL Class A license required; ability to read and follow written instructions.
• English language proficiency required by federal law.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures while driving to Penske locations or customer sites.
• Check vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and report problems.
• Obtain receipts or signatures and collect payment when required.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or damage to the vehicles.
• Perform other projects as assigned by supervisor.
