Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing seeks highly motivated applicants for the role of Hiker (Vehicle Transporter/Truck Driver). This part-time, on-call position delivers and returns Penske vehicles and may move tractors and trailers for CDL Class A. It may also assist the service department with parts delivery.

Flexibility is key: evenings and weekends may be required, with 0–25 hours per week depending on business needs. Penske emphasizes safety and compliance with DOT rules and ID verification.

Qualifications

• 2 years of driving experience required.
• 2 years of a clean DMV record required.
• Valid Class B CDL required; Class A preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Drive Penske and customer vehicles following safety procedures.
• Check vehicles for mechanical or safety issues and report any problems.
• Obtain receipts or signatures and collect payment when required.
• Report vehicle defects or accidents and maintain paperwork.
• Support service department by delivering parts and equipment as needed.
