Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing seeks a Hiker (Vehicle Transporter/Truck Driver) to deliver and return vehicles to Penske locations and customers. The role primarily moves box trucks up to 26’; CDL Class A may involve tractors and trailers.

It’s a casual, on-call part-time position with weekend availability and potential to work 0–25 hours per week. Qualified applicants will have at least 2 years of driving experience, a clean DMV record, and a valid Class B CDL (Class A preferred).

Qualifications

• 2 years of driving experience required.
• 2 years of a clean DMV motor vehicle record required.
• Valid Class B CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
• CDL Class A license preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures while driving trucks to destination.
• Check vehicles for mechanical and safety readiness; report issues to location manager.
• Obtain receipts/signatures and collect payment when required.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or damage to vehicles.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
