Job summary

Butler County RTA is seeking a part-time Maintenance and Infrastructure team member in Hamilton, Ohio. The role involves shuttling Authority vehicles, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, and assisting in the shop with routine maintenance tasks.

Candidates must hold a CDL Class B or higher with passenger endorsement, possess current DOT medical certification, and maintain a clean motor vehicle record. Lifting up to 40 pounds and outdoor work are required.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B or higher with passenger endorsement and no air brake restriction.
• Current DOT medical certification or ability to obtain before start.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record with no disqualifying violations.
• At least 21 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Shuttle Authority vehicles between maintenance facility, vendor shops, body shops, dealerships, and inspection sites.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report any issues immediately.
• Move and stage vehicles in the yard to support shop operations and morning workflow.
• Fuel, wash, and prepare vehicles for service.
• Perform basic service tasks: check fluid levels, tires, lights, and interior cleaning.
• Transport parts and supplies to required locations.
• Accurately log mileage, fuel, and trip data in the maintenance system.
• Provide general shop assistance as needed by technicians.
