Job description

Essential Functions:

1. Customer Service
   • Provides excellent customer service by following Lowe's policies and procedures.
   • Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
   • Responds promptly to customer and employee inquiries, guiding them through projects when needed.
   • Expresses genuine appreciation to customers.
   • Provides information about stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe’s programs.
   • Contacts customers regarding delivery or coordinates with truck drivers to communicate delivery details.
2. In-stock
   • Plans and executes delivery activities, including printing loading tickets and ensuring on-time delivery.
   • Prepares merchandise, builds and bands loads, and loads trucks within payload limits.
   • Inspects products before loading and assists customers with loading when necessary.
   • Verifies invoice items against loaded quantities and descriptions.
3. Clean and Safe Stores
   • Ensures loads are safe, secure, and compliant with DOT regulations.
   • Updates delivery and route status in tracking systems.
   • Unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery.
   • Verifies vehicle inspections and maintains cleanliness and repairs of delivery vehicles and equipment.
   • Completes DOT reporting to maintain certification and compliance.
   • Detects and reports security risks such as shoplifting and theft.
   • Maintains store cleanliness and organization following safety and housekeeping standards.
   • Maintains a safe work environment through safety reviews and hazard mitigation.
   • Operates store equipment as required by the specific role.
   • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Class A CDL License (for multi-unit locations) or Class B CDL License with air brake endorsement (for single-unit locations).
• Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment.
• Ability to pass MVR screening.
• Ability to obtain required sales licensure or registration.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.

Preferences:

• One year of semi-truck/trailer driving experience or certification.
• Six months of in-home delivery or retail customer service experience.
• Three months of forklift operation or Moffett onloading/offloading experience.
