Job summary

Valor Collegiate Academies in Nashville, TN is seeking a part-time Bus Driver to join the athletic transportation team for the 2024-2025 school year. The driver will transport middle and high school students, coaches, teachers, and other adults to events and trips using 14, 36, and/or 64-passenger buses.

Under the supervision of the Director of Athletics, candidates must have a TN CDL with P/S endorsements, pass a background check, and demonstrate punctual, safe driving in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid Tennessee Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with P and/or S endorsements.
• Must pass an extensive background check with no driving violations.
• Must meet all Federal and State driving regulations and requirements.
• Grit and perseverance to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce Valor’s athletic policies and regulations.
• Transport students, coaches, teachers, and other adults safely to athletic events, field trips, and out-of-town trips.
• Create a safe environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
• Able to manage multiple schedules and be prompt and punctual at all times.
• Operate the bus in a safe and effective way to minimize the risk of passenger injury and property damage.
• Other duties, as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
