Job summary

Harford County Government is seeking a Bus Driver to provide safe, customer-friendly and timely transportation in coordination with scheduled bus times. The role requires a valid CDL with Air Brake Endorsement and two years of experience driving commercial vehicles, plus a high school diploma or GED.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, complete required paperwork, interact with riders professionally, and adhere to OSHA/DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Must hold CDL class B-P with Air Brake Endorsement and ≤3 points.
• Two years of experience driving commercial vehicles.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNREC safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Complete required paperwork and logs; report accidents/incidents and defects.
• Assist in vehicle maintenance; perform pre/post-trip inspections and refueling.
• Interact with riders; respond calmly and professionally to conflicts.
• Drive safely adhering to laws, rules and DOT regulations.
• Schedule time off within established guidelines and process.
