Job summary

Jamie Hollander Gourmet Foods in Philadelphia is seeking an entry-level Catering Kitchen Staff member for off-premise events. This part-time role supports the Party Chef, handling food prep, turnout, and on-site assistance.

Typical shifts run 2 PM to 9–10 PM, Friday and Saturday (and some Sundays), April through November. You will load/unload, assist with inventory, cook and serve, and maintain sanitation to ensure successful events.

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience, preferred but not required.
• High level of accountability, responsibility, and attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to help wherever needed.
• Reading and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, changing shifts and weekends based on business demands.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8+ hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Pack and load truck with food and kitchen supplies pre and post event.
• Assist with inventorying food and kitchen items on-site.
• Preparing, cooking and serving foods.
• Maintaining food/serving equipment within parameters of applicable food safety guidelines.
• All aspects of sanitation and cleaning as relevant to catering events.
• Communicate and attend pertinent meetings and training sessions with food, food administration or other departments.
