Job summary

Compass Group USA’s Restaurant Associates unit has an opening for a part-time Catering Captain at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Henrico, VA. This role coordinates catering staff and ensures functions are delivered, served and cleared on schedule, with food preparation and service under the Catering Director.

The position requires prior private catering event experience, a valid driver’s license if needed, and compliance with HACCP standards.

Qualifications

• Previous private catering event experience is required.
• A valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required by state law.
• A valid driver\'s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates catering staff schedules to ensure functions are delivered, served, and cleared in a timely fashion.
• Prepares and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the Catering Director.
• May drive a truck to deliver food and beverages to catered functions.
