Job summary

Gettysburg College is seeking part-time dishwashers to work 15-20 hours per week in the Dining Center. Positions follow a regular schedule during the academic year and sporadically during the summer.

Responsibilities include washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, glasses, and pots and pans, plus custodial duties to keep the Dining Center clean, safe, and sanitary. These roles are part-time and require reading instructions, flexible scheduling, and weekend/evening availability.

Job Title Part-time/Casual Dishwashers Department Dining/Food Prep Position Summary

Gettysburg College is seeking dishwashers to work 15-20 hours per week in the Dining Center. Positions work a more regular schedule during the academic year, and sporadically during the summer months. These positions perform all necessary functions included with the washing and sanitizing of dishes, utensils, glasses, and pots and pans, as well as custodial duties to keep the Dining Center clean, safe, and sanitary.

These positions will remain open until filled.

Status: Part-time

There are no benefits associated with these part-time positions.

Qualifications

The successful candidates must be able to read and understand simple instructions, work flexible schedules, nights & weekend hours are required.

Physical Requirements

Frequent bending, lifting, and walking. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds. Some contact with caustic chemicals.
