Job summary

ALDI in Bloomington, IN is seeking enthusiastic part-time cashiers and stockers. You will provide friendly checkout service or help keep shelves stocked for a smooth shopping experience.

Positions offer less than 30 hours per week with starting pay of $19.00 per hour and scheduled increases through year 5 to $21.00. Typical duties include POS use, customer service, stocking, and adherence to safety and store policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
• Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and with others.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes.
• Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
• Ability to meet availability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Cashier responsibilities: Use POS to scan and process purchases, report scanning issues to management.
• Cashier responsibilities: Adhere to cash policies and open lanes for efficiency.
• Cashier responsibilities: Complete curbside pickup orders and ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Stocker responsibilities: Stock shelves and displays per planograms to maximize sales.
• Stocker responsibilities: Arrive early (as early as 5:00am).
