• Basic knowledge of cash register operations.
• Familiarity with tender policies and procedures.
• Basic math and counting skills.

• Commitment to accuracy in transactions.
• Minimum age 16; certifications as applicable where required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct checkout totals by weighing, keying, and scanning items.
• Maintain accurate money count in the register at all times.
• Memorize product codes and stay familiar with ads and specials.
• Follow tender policies for checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, WIC, AML, etc.
• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
• Promote enrollment in the Thank You Card program when applicable.
• Bag groceries properly, group like items, and manage receipt handover.
• Follow safety procedures to keep the store clean and safe.
• Adhere to local laws regarding sales of restricted items.
