Brookshire Grocery Company in Tyler, Texas, operates over 215 stores across TX, LA, AR and OK. This role engages customers, handles checkout, bags groceries, locates items and performs price verifications in a busy retail environment.

The ideal candidate is at least 16 years old, with basic math and cash handling skills, strong communication, and a calm, friendly customer-service attitude. On-the-job training is provided, with flexibility for nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training provided for entry-level roles.
• Must be at least 16 years old where required by law.

Responsabilités

• Ensures correct checkout totals by weighing, keying, and scanning; maintains accurate register totals.
• Accesses or memorizes product codes and stays familiar with ads and specials.
• Remains current on tender policies for checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, and more.
• Greet customers, answer questions, locate/promote products, and respond to complaints.
• Promotes enrollment in the Thank You Card program and assists with signup.
• Bags groceries properly, grouping like items and preventing cross-contamination.
• Handles objects with care to avoid damage; follows safety procedures.
• Keeps racks, coolers, and supplies stocked and presentable.
• Adheres to all local, state, and federal laws on restricted items (tobacco, alcohol, etc.).
