Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a part-time cashier to provide a fast, friendly checkout and help customers get the best value. You will engage at the register, assist with self-checkout, and support other departments as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience.

This role may require standing for long periods and lifting items; prior retail or customer service experience is a plus. Bilingual skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
• Experience using a computer for inputting and retrieving information.
• Lift at least 10 lb unassisted; 15 lb with assistance.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state.
• Preferred: Retail or customer service experience.
• Preferred: Bilingual skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions.
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
