Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a part-time cashier to ensure every customer leaves the store satisfied with a quick, friendly checkout experience and help customers get the best value for their money.

Responsibilities include assisting customers at the register and self-checkout, scanning and bagging items, handling payments and exchanges, and keeping a clean workstation. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Minimally lift 10lbs unassisted or over 15lbs with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges.
• Answer customer questions.
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
