Job summary

The GIANT Company in Cumberland, MD invites you to join our retail team as a front-end associate. You’ll scan and bag items, handle cash, restock shelves, and assist customers with a friendly, efficient service approach.

We value teamwork, safety, and reliability. Successful candidates are able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work four-hour shifts or more, with opportunities for additional hours and growth within our store network.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Promptly, at the start of the shift, the team member will review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with PPE requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.
• Block aisles, set-up checkout areas, and set-up displays as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Tally items, take money, and make change.
• Bag items and put bags into carts whenever necessary.
