Job summary

Cub Savage is seeking a dedicated Part Time Cashier to handle front-end checkout procedures, assist customers with courtesy, and process orders quickly and accurately. In this role you will perform product scanning, handle tender and coupons, and answer customer questions while maintaining a clean, welcoming checkout area.

Evening and weekend availability is required. With an emphasis on teamwork and positive customer relations, Cub Savage offers a flexible schedule and weekly pay to support

Qualifications

• Must be able to provide prompt, courteous service to customers.
• Ability to perform basic math and read/write clearly.
• Able to stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Equipment operation may be required (scanner, register, etc.).

This position requires on-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service!

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist customers and ensure proper service levels and courtesy from all associates


• Perform product scanning and processing of customer order in an accurate, efficient and prompt manner


• Ensure properly handling of all forms of tender and coupons


• Ensure accurate handling of all voids, returns, refunds and exchanges


• Assist with customer questions or requests


• Assist with front end maintenance and cleaning

Job Requirements:

• Equipment operation (scanner, register, check approval machine, coupon machine, intercom, calculator, etc.).


• Able to stand for long periods of time.


• Memorization, reading, writing and math.


• The position requires on-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service.


• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.


• Have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing.


• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays.


• Must be 16 years of age and older.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.


• Walking on uneven ground


• Reaching, bending, turning, repetitive motions

Schedule:

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position.
