Job Title: Part-Time Cashier at US LBM

Company Background: Higginbotham Brothers, established in 1881, supplies professional builders, remodelers, and do-it-yourselfers with lumber and specialty building products from 40 locations across Texas and Oklahoma.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and positively interact with customers, assisting with merchandise questions, locations, pricing, and promotions.
- Process sales accurately using the cash register, handling payments via cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
- Issue refunds or credits with manager approval when necessary.
- Prepare merchandise for customers by bagging, boxing, or wrapping.
- Stay informed about current promotions and advertisements.
- Manage cash drawers by counting money at the start and end of shifts, ensuring correct amounts and change levels.
- Maintain all cash register operations accurately, including transaction totals.
- Address routine customer questions and escalate requests or complaints to management.
- Keep the store environment clean, organized, and safe, including floors, windows, restrooms, and workstations.
- Participate in all required training programs and perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of customer service and cash handling experience.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to excellent customer service.
- Professional demeanor, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
- Good math skills and proficiency with calculators and computers.
- Preferred: Building or hardware product knowledge.
