Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers in LaGrange, GA is seeking a Part-time Retail Associate – Cashier to deliver outstanding customer service and process transactions accurately. You will be cross-trained to support all areas of the retail operation and help meet daily store goals.

The position averages 20–25 hours per week, with shifts Monday through Sunday. Starting pay is $10.50 per hour, plus a competitive benefits package including PTO and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Prior retail or customer service experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

The Lagrange retail store, located on143 Commerce Ave. Lagrange GA., is currently looking for a hard-working and dedicated Retail Associate – Cashier.

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc.’s Retail Associate – Cashier responsibilities:

• Ensures that each guest receives outstanding customer service.
• Assists customer with purchases and pricing.
• Operates the cash register system and applies basic math skills including, but not limited to, basic addition and subtraction of money.
• Understands item pricing and “color of the week”.
• Maintains the sales floor and dressing room appearance by organizing shelves, putting away carts, returning merchandise from the dressing room back to the sales floor.
• Asks customers to “Round-Up” totals in support of our mission and/or scholarship programs.
• Meets or exceeds daily retail store goals.
• Works other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.

You will be hired as a Retail Associate – Cashier, however, you will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work all areas of the retail operation.

A part--time position averages20-25 hours per week. Hours will fluctuate based on business needs (i.e., seasonal changes, donation volumes, etc.) Operating days will fluctuate based on the store location. The Retail Associate – Cashier must be available to work any shifts Monday through Sunday.

Requirements:

• Basic math skills.
• Prior experience working in a retail or customer service-related environment, preferred.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), preferred.
• Warehouse experience, preferred.
