Weavers Way Co-op in Ambler, PA is seeking a part-time Cashier to join our community‑focused team. This role offers 20–29 hours per week with weekend availability, engaging with customers and supporting a friendly, cooperative grocery atmosphere.

Responsibilities include operating scanners and registers, assisting customers, and maintaining accurate transactions while upholding our mission to serve local vendors and community members.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Ability to operate a cash register.
• Ability to stand for an entire shift (5-8 hours).
• Good math skills.
• Ability to work well in a team setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Be or become a member in good standing of Weavers Way Co-op.

• Welcoming customers, answering questions, helping locate items, and providing recommendations.
• Operating scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronics.
• Balancing the cash register and generating reports for sales.
• Accepting payments and providing receipts to customers.
• Processing refunds and exchanges, resolving complaints.
• Bagging or wrapping purchases for safe transport.
• Following store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, or restricted items.
• Maintaining a clean workspace.

We are looking for an energetic, community-oriented, and experienced individual to work as a Cashier in our Ambler location. This position is part-time, with an anticipated 20-29 hours per week. Open availability is preferred, and Weekend availability is required. If you have experience working in a team setting and a passion for great customer service, then we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities Include

• Welcoming customers, answering their questions, helping them locate items, and providing advice or recommendations.
• Operating scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronics.
• Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales.
• Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and proving a receipt to every customer.
• Processing refunds and exchanges, resolving complaints.
• Bagging or wrapping purchases to ensure safe transport.
• Following all store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, or the purchase of specific items, such as alcohol or cigarettes.
• Maintaining a clean workspace.
