Kj’s Market in Florence, AL is seeking a part-time Cashier/Guest Service Clerk to support front-end operations, handle cash and invoices, and assist guests with purchases. The role emphasizes accuracy, reliability, and friendly service in a busy retail environment.

The position offers flexible hours, potential weekly pay, and opportunities to grow in a family-owned local market. Prior cash handling or POS experience is helpful but not required, with on-site hours and a customer-first mindset

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Demonstrate successful use of math skills.
• Ability to work well with computers.

Responsibilities

• Sales, Cash and Invoice Accounting: prepare weekly cash report and accompanying documentation, maintain sales information, process invoices and transfers, and beer/wine payments.
• Cash Related Activities: prepare bank deposits, support cashier activities, payroll check approval/cashing, daily cash counts, guest services like money orders, stamps, lottery tickets, and processing returned checks.
• Cash Office Security: ensure security of cash office and funds; maintain cashier tills supplies and accountability.
• Cashier/Guest Service Clerk Reports: monitor the Operator Activity Report, perform till audits and accuracy checks, maintain front-end schedule.
• Process guests orders as needed to maintain No Noticeable Wait policy.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
