Job summary

IGA Market is seeking a friendly cashier/guest service clerk to support sales, cash handling and customer interactions in a fast-paced grocery setting in South Carolina. The role emphasizes accuracy, security of the cash office, and providing a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities include processing invoices, deposits, and payments; monitoring cash accuracy; assisting guests with money orders and stamps; and helping with cashier training and daily front-end operations.

Responsibilities

• Sales, Cash and Invoice Accounting: prepare weekly cash report and documentation, maintain sales information, process invoices and transfers, process beer/wine payments.
• Cash Related Activities: prepare bank deposits, support cashier activities, payroll checks, ensure accurate daily cash count, handle guest money orders, stamps, lottery tickets, etc.
• Cash Office Security: maintain security and accountability of cashier tills and supplies.
• Cashier/Guest Service Clerk Performance Reports: monitor Operator Activity Report, perform till audits, maintain front-end schedule.
• Process guest orders to ensure No Noticeable Wait policy is followed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
