Job summary

CT State Community College is seeking a part-time Caseload Assistant in Norwich to support students with disabilities, evaluate supports, and ensure compliant implementation of accommodations.

Under ODAS supervision, you’ll coordinate testing, maintain confidential records, and collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to promote equity and access. Requires a related master’s degree and two years’ experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education or related field with two years of experience with individuals with disabilities.
• Knowledge of federal disability laws (ADA, ADAA 2008, Section 504) and HIPAA/FERPA.
• Experience interpreting diagnostic assessments and learning differences.
• Understanding of diverse disabilities and supports used in education.
• Technological literacy and proficiency with assistive tech and testing software.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds and inclusive settings.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supports a caseload of students with disabilities and coordinates accommodations.
• Engages in interactive process with students, faculty, and staff to implement accommodations.
• Maintains records and confidentiality within the Accommodate system.
• Coordinates accommodation test proctoring and testing arrangements.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure ADA/504 compliance.
• Assists with ODAS office operations and required duties.
