Job summary

Dierbergs Markets, Inc. is hiring a part-time Grocery Cart Attendant to support cashiers and keep our store running smoothly. Responsibilities include cart retrieval, loading purchases into carts, and keeping aisles tidy.

You will also assist with customer needs and maintain a clean, safe store environment. Applicants must be at least 16 years old, able to lift up to 40 lbs, and work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Age 16 or older
• Must be physically able to lift up to 30-40 lbs
• Work outside in varying weather conditions
• Schedule includes weekends and holidays
• Prompt and regular attendance
• Adherence to dress code and hygiene standards
• Exposure to heat/cold from parking lot service

Responsibilities

• Retrieve carts from parking lot and load into customers' carts
• Assist customers with loading purchases into vehicles
• Dispose debris from carts, floor, and parking lot
• Distribute hand baskets around the store
• Return misplaced items to proper locations and maintain aisle conditions
• Keep check lanes stocked with bags and essentials
• Sweep and mop floors when needed
• Assist cashiers with requests and retrieving items
• Load carpet cleaning rental into customer vehicles
• Ensure proper bagging techniques and load quality of customers' items
• Stock advertisements
