Job summary

Dierbergs Markets is seeking a part-time Grocery Cart Attendant. You will help cashiers by loading carts, loading purchases into customers' vehicles, and keeping the shopping area clean and organized. The role emphasizes quick, friendly service and reliable attendance in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities include cart retrieval from the parking lot, debris removal, stocking, and assisting in check lanes with bags and basic maintenance. This position offers weekly pay and part-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Physical stamina to lift up to 40 lbs and move carts.
• Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule that includes weekends/holidays.
• Prompt and regular attendance per schedule.
• Adherence to dress code, appearance and hygiene standards.
• Tolerate environmental changes and temperature variations.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve carts from the parking lot using a cart strap and safety vest.
• Assist in loading purchases into customers' vehicles when asked.
• Collect debris from carts, floor and parking lot; maintain aisle conditions.
• Distribute hand baskets and stock advertisements.
• Ensure items are returned to proper locations and carts are ready for use.
• Keep check lanes organized and stocked with bags; sweep and mop floors when needed.
