Job summary

Cornerstone Caregiving in Encinitas is seeking compassionate individuals for short visits to help seniors stay safe and happy at home. These shifts (<4 hours) are ideal for students, retirees, or anyone seeking meaningful part-time work that fits a busy schedule.

You will perform morning kickstarts, dinner tuck-ins, quick wellness checks, and friendly companionship. Training is provided; CNA or HHA is preferred but not required, and reliable transportation is needed to serve our community.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving is a plus, but training is provided.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• CNA or HHA preferred but not required.
• Current Home Care Aide Registration.
• Negative TB test (valid within 90 days or within 7 days after hire).

Responsibilities

• Morning Kickstarts: Help with breakfast, morning meds, and start of day.
• Dinner & Tuck-ins: Prepare a warm meal and ensure home is secure for the night.
• Quick Wellness Checks: Assist with a bath, light housekeeping, or a grocery run.
• Friendly Companionship: A 2-hour visit for a walk or chat.

About the Role:

(less than 4 hours).
