Job summary

Community Resource Network of Florida INC is seeking a caregiver to support a young woman with daily living activities. The role focuses on promoting independence, healthy living, and participation in community activities.

Qualifications

• Pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Encourage and support the individual during home activities.
• Assist with personal hygiene tasks.
• Meal preparation and light cleaning.
• Ensure safety and a safe living environment.
• Accompany to social events and community outings.
• Promote communication, independence and socialization.
• Complete daily progress notes.

Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life.

The individual is a young woman who requires caregiver support with activities of daily living (ADLs) to help increase her independence. Promoting healthy eating and regular exercise, reinforcing life skills, assisting with clothing selection and laundry, practicing grocery shopping, and encouraging greater independence in daily activities.

By applying for this position, you acknowledge and understand that this role is offered on an independent contractor basis, and not as an employee of the company. The role pays $16.00 hourly.

Schedule

Two days per week for 4 hrs. a day

Responsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role:

• Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities
• Assisting with personal hygiene tasks

• Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointments
• Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization
• Complete daily progress notes

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
• Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
• Have a High School diploma or equivalent
• Are 18 years of age or older
