Job summary

Senior Helpers Cerritos is seeking a part-time caregiver to provide one-on-one personal care in clients' homes, helping them stay safe and independent. You will engage in conversations, assist with daily living tasks, and tailor activities to each client’s interests.

Ideal candidates are passionate about helping others, have at least 1 year of personal care experience, and can obtain HCA Registration and Livescan. We offer competitive pay, sick time, a 401(k), and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Passion for helping others is essential.
• Customer service and communicating with clients are important.
• Community involvement and making a difference are encouraged.
• Ability to complete State required Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration and Livescan before orientation.

Responsibilities

• Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships.
• Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies (scrapbooking, gardening, games, etc.).
• Prep meals for your clients to enjoy.
• Assist your clients with walking, dressing, and other daily activities of living.
• Report activities completed and provide updates on clients’ physical condition, mental capacity and behavior.
