Job summary

Senior Helpers of Cerritos is seeking a PART-TIME caregiver to provide one-on-one personal care in clients' homes, helping them stay safe and independent. Drivers highly preferred.

You will engage clients in conversations and activities, help with meals, mobility, and daily living tasks, and report progress to families. Requirements include at least 1 year of experience with personal care, the ability to complete State HCA registration and Livescan fingerprinting, and a current negative TB test.

Qualifications

• You want to help your community and make a difference in someone’s life.
• You must be able to complete State required Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration and Livescan fingerprinting before orientation.
• You can provide a current negative TB test.
• You have at least 1 year experience assisting adults with personal care, including diaper changes.

Responsibilities

• Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships.
• Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies (scrapbooking, gardening, games, etc.).
• Prep meals for your clients to enjoy.
• Assist your clients with walking, dressing, and other daily activities of living.
• Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior.
