SCC is seeking an enthusiastic, student-focused Part-Time Career& Success Coach to join the Career Services team. This rolewill support students and alumni in their career development byoffering personalized guidance on career planning, job searchstrategies, and professional development. Under the supervision ofthe Career Services Manager, the Part-Time Academic Coach will helpstudents explore career pathways, develop effective resumes andcover letters, prepare for interviews, and build confidence intheir professional skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one career coaching sessions for students and alumni, including career assessments and guidance on careerexploration.
• Assist students in developing job search strategies, includingresume and cover letter writing, networking, and utilizing onlinejob search platforms.
• Stay informed on job market trends and incorporate relevantindustry knowledge into coaching sessions.
• Track and document student interactions, outcomes, and successstories in the career services database.
• Provide students with guidance on appropriate career resources,including those offered by the Excelerator Department.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in general education; preferred master's degree in general education.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively support a diverse studentpopulation.
• Knowledge of job market trends, and effective job search techniques.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and familiarity with careerassessment tools and online career services platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in general education.

Working Conditions

• Part-time role requiring day-time hours with flexibleschedule.
• This role is based on the SCC campus and will work closely withstudents and staff within the Excelerator Department.
