Kaweah Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Services Billing/Coding Specialist in Visalia, CA. This part-time role focuses on accurate outpatient billing, claims corrections, charge posting, and account follow-up within the Cardiology Center.

You will collaborate with providers, HIM, coding, and clinical staff to ensure proper coding and submission per payer rules, while maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems (CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10-CM).
• Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payer requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Review patient accounts and insurance for charge accuracy.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits as needed.
• Review CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10-CM usage and modifiers.
• Follow up on denied and unpaid claims; make corrections as needed.
• Assist with prior authorizations and referrals when applicable.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient and financial information.
