Job summary

WellSpan York Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Cardiac Rehab Specialist to provide assessment, exercise prescription and education for cardiac patients. You will work 16 hours per week on dayshift with rotating weekends and holidays, contributing to multidisciplinary rehab programs in a high-volume hospital setting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science (Master’s preferred), plus BLS and ACLS within stated timelines.

Qualifications

• Role involves assessment and development of clinical exercise plans.
• Requires basic knowledge of cardiac, pulmonary and metabolic rehab.
• Licenses in BLS and ACLS within stated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients’ functional abilities to determine intervention.
• Implements individualized exercise plans and re-evaluates as needed.
• Educates patients and families to promote participation and goals attainment.
• Ensures patient safety and handles emergencies per protocols.
