Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Cardiac Sonographer for a part-time role in Miami Beach, FL.

The candidate will verify orders, perform echocardiograms across multiple locations, and maintain high productivity with accurate documentation. Responsibilities include selecting settings for 2D, Doppler, Stress echo, and 3D imaging, distinguishing normal from abnormal findings, and reporting results to physicians.

Qualifications

• RDCS or RCS certification is required.
• Graduate of an approved ultrasound program with emphasis in adult echocardiography is required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in adult and transesophageal echocardiography; knowledge of stress and contrast echocardiography.

Responsibilities

• Verifies orders and patient information prior to exam.
• Performs echocardiograms in various locations throughout the hospital; portable, in the department, etc.
• Takes initiative to complete exams to achieve maximum productivity of the department.
• Maintains productivity and efficiency; completes exams within appropriate time frame and keeps clinical appointments on time.
• Selects appropriate frequencies and settings to optimize 2D, Doppler, Stress echo and 3D images.
• Differentiates normal and abnormal structures and provides accurate technical impressions of pathology observed.
• Reports critical values to physicians and management as required.
• Assists physicians with transesophogeal echocardiogram and adjusts settings to optimize images.

Education
