Job summary

Pulse Heart Institute in Tacoma, WA, is seeking an Echocardiographer (cardiac sonographer) to perform high-quality ultrasound studies of the heart for interpretation by cardiologists. This full-time, .75 FTE position features 10-hour day shifts with on-call evening and weekend hours and potential overtime during emergencies.

Ideal candidates are ARDMS/CCI certified (or enrolled with 12-month certification commitment) and have prior echocardiography experience plus current BLS.

Qualifications

• Registered ARDMS or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or must enroll and obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Previous echocardiography experience preferred.
• Current BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiographic studies on patients.
• Completes echocardiography worksheets with quantitative measurements and descriptive data.
• Performs clerical procedures including scheduling, phones, filing, and report circulation.
• Maintains and cleans ultrasound equipment; ensures quality checks.
