Revolution Global LLC is seeking a Part-Time Cannabis Guide in Schaumburg, IL to support daily dispensary operations. You will assist leadership in administrative, compliance, and in-store activities within a fast-paced, regulated retail environment, educating customers about cannabis products.

You will maintain a welcoming, compliant environment, process POS transactions, and ensure accuracy in documentation while supporting team objectives and customer satisfaction.

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in retail, hospitality, or healthcare.
  • Open availability to work flexible shifts on weekdays and weekends - approximately 25 to 30 hours per week.
  • Reliable mode of transportation.

Revolution Cannabis is seeking a Part-Time Cannabis Guide to support daily Dispensary Retail operations at our Schaumburg, IL Dispensary. Our Cannabis Guides are essential to providing a welcoming, safe, and educational customer experience at Revolution Cannabis dispensaries. As a key part of our in-store team, you will assist leadership in administrative, compliance, and operational functions within a fast-paced, closely regulated retail environment. Our Cannabis Guides are passionate about cannabis and motivated to continually develop their product knowledge to help educate and guide customers toward beneficial cannabis products.

As a Cannabis Guide at Revolution Cannabis, you will champion the beauty and wonder of the cannabis plant while promoting a work environment that is positive, customer-oriented, and compliant with local cannabis laws and company policies.

Requirements
Customer Experience & Sales
  • Consistently provide an exceptional, welcoming, and educational customer experience from arrival to checkout
  • Build genuine rapport with customers and develop long-term brand loyalty
  • Guide customers through cannabis product selections based on their needs, preferences, and experience level
  • Champion a concierge-style service approach; be present, proactive, and knowledgeable on the floor
  • Inspire customer confidence through honest, accurate, and compliant cannabis product education
Compliance and Regulatory
  • Onboard customers and capture mandatory documentation based on state regulatory requirements - Illinois and Maryland respectively
  • Accurately verify customer identification and eligibility per state cannabis program requirements
  • Maintain understanding of the Illinois Adult Use Cannabis Program, Maryland Cannabis Administration regulations, and applicable federal laws
  • Adhere to all standardized operational procedures including safety and security protocols
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal policies and uphold a culture of accountability
  • Support preparation for internal and external audits
Operations and Administration
  • Accurately utilize point-of-sale system for transactions, returns, and inventory adjustments
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly in accordance with company cash handling procedures
  • Electronically file and organize documents per company and regulatory requirements
  • Answer telephone calls from customers, schedule appointments as necessary, and support administrative functions
  • Maintain a well-organized, clean, and welcoming dispensary environment at all times
  • Arrive as a team player ready to take on any duties assigned by management
Attendance and Reliability
  • Demonstrate consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality to maintain daily operations and team effectiveness
  • Work regular business hours including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled
  • Be proactive in communicating scheduling conflicts and seeking coverage in accordance with company policy
Required:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age (Cannabis Industry Requirement)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in retail, hospitality, or healthcare
  • Open availability to work flexible shifts on weekdays and weekends - approximately 25 to 30 hours per week
  • Reliable mode of transportation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with various audiences, including supervisors, upper management, and regulatory agencies
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Operate with highest degree of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information and complying with HIPAA requirements.
  • Basic computer skills including familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling
  • Must pass a thorough background check including criminal history review by State Police and FBI (Illinois) or Maryland Cannabis Administration requirements (Maryland) depending on employment state
  • Must obtain and maintain a Dispensary Agent Registration Identification Card from the applicable state governing authority prior to start date
  • Passion to learn and/or understanding of applicable cannabis laws and regulations, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, and standard operating procedures
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment, and problem solve effectively to identify solutions quickly on your feet and pivot with changing store demands
Preferred:
  • Previous experience in a licensed cannabis dispensary environment
  • Familiarity with cannabis products, consumption methods, and terpene profiles
  • Experience with cannabis point-of-sale systems such as Sweed or similar platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Experienced in Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
  • Standing and walking for extended periods - up to 4 consecutive hours per shift, with required rest breaks provided in accordance with applicable state law and company policy
  • Ability to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and crouching to access product displays, storage areas, and floor-level inventory
  • Repetitive hand and wrist motion - point-of-sale operation, cash handling, document filing, and keyboard use
  • Visual acuity required - reading product labels, customer identification, computer screens, and regulatory documentation
  • Hearing ability required - effective verbal communication with customers and team members in a retail environment
  • Ability to work in a climate-controlled indoor retail environment; occasional exposure to cannabis plant material and associated aromas
  • Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout a full shift in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
  • Strong visual acuity, fine motor skills and manual dexterity required for reading instruments, inspecting product, packaging and equipment, and recording data
Work Schedule:
  • 30 hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs.
  • Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Summary

Cannabis Guides are eligible for additional compensation through customer tips and SparkPlug Incentives promotions (subject to company policy provisions)

Note: A qualifying applicant must successfully complete a 90 day introductory period.

Introductory Period

: The first ninety (90) calendar days of employment are considered an Introductory Period for both the employee and Revolution Global. This timeframe allows the employee to learn their new responsibilities and enables the manager to evaluate their overall performance and fit. Completion of the Introductory Period does not alter the at-will-employment relationship; either the employee or the company may terminate employment at any time, with or without cause or advance notice.
