Job summary

Flowery in Newburgh, NY is seeking enthusiastic Budtenders to join our growing team. As a Budtender, you will educate customers on cannabis products, assist in selecting items, and drive sales in a welcoming, compliant retail environment.

We are looking for motivated individuals who are passionate about cannabis, eager to learn, and dedicated to creating an outstanding shopping experience for every customer. Weekend availability and reliable transportation are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience in retail, customer service, or sales.
• Cannabis industry experience is a plus but not required.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment preferred.
• Comfortable using POS systems and handling cash transactions.
• Knowledge of cannabis strains, cannabinoids, terpenes, and consumption methods is a plus.
• Experience with consultative selling preferred.
• Experience upselling complementary products.
• Experience educating first-time shoppers.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine retail duties.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Must be willing to work evenings and holidays as business needs require.
• Must meet applicable New York State cannabis employee eligibility and training requirements.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a welcoming, professional attitude and assist in selecting cannabis products.
• Educate customers on product categories, cannabinoids, terpenes, and consumption methods.
• Recommend complementary products and promotions to increase transactions.
• Meet individual and team sales goals and maintain a positive customer experience.
• Process transactions accurately with the Dutchie POS system and verify IDs for NY regulations.
• Maintain cash handling procedures and register accountability.
• Restock merchandise, organize displays, and maintain product presentation standards.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and maintain a clean sales floor.
• Follow policies on inventory handling, security, and loss prevention.
• Stay informed about new products and industry trends; participate in training.
• Communicate with management and team; support events and promotions.
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and accountability on every shift.
