Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Monitoring in Auburn, AL. You will protect clients across various industries, provide outstanding customer service, and maintain a visible security presence on campus.

As a Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Officer you’ll schedule shifts through our Claim a Shift platform, perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and report incidents promptly while upholding campus safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, residence areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and security-related concerns.
