Job summary

Allied Universal in Minneapolis is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to patrol and safeguard clients, provide access control, and deliver excellent customer service. You will maintain a visible presence, deter incidents, and respond to emergencies while following site policies.

As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic educational location, you will monitor assigned areas and report issues, with a focus on safety and professional conduct. Competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; background and drug screening will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations; report unusual conditions, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to deter unauthorized access and disruptive conduct with a visible presence.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations and concerns to appropriate personnel.
