Job summary

Allied Universal® in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Credential Patrol to assist campus communities and protect facilities.

You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points, provide excellent customer service, and respond to incidents following campus protocols. This role offers flexible day shifts and a $25/hour pay rate.

Prior security experience and a high school diploma are preferred; a background check and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear reports and maintain professional communication with campus personnel and emergency responders.
