Job summary

The University of Northwestern – St. Paul is seeking a Student Checkpoint Security Officer to help maintain campus safety by monitoring access points, verifying IDs, and enforcing security policies at the Main Campus.

This role provides a visible presence and timely reporting of concerns to support a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Hours per week are 20 with compensation of $15.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Monitor designated checkpoints, observe and report suspicious activity or safety concerns promptly
• Verify identification and ensure compliance with campus security policies
• Assist with basic administrative tasks related to security operations
• Provide courteous and professional assistance to staff, faculty, students, and guests
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned
