Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Guard in Minneapolis, MN to provide customer service and protect campus communities. The role includes unarmed patrols, access control, and reporting incidents with a focus on safety and service.

You will support students, staff, and visitors, follow site policies, and participate in emergency responses as needed. The position offers flexible day and night shifts and a pay rate of $25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• As a condition of employment, background check and drug screen will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and partners while following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and support access-control procedures; report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear reports of incidents and patrol activities for supervision and site contacts.
